Warranty & Care

Ethnotek stands for top quality in the manufacturing of its products, alongside social responsibility and a fashionable design.

The products from Ethnotek consist of durable, industrially manufactured components and traditional handcrafted fabrics.

Ethnotek offers, beyond the legal warranty, a 30-year manufacturer’s guarantee for the Raja 30 Body and Raja 46 Body products, which far exceeds industry standards.

A two-year warranty from the date of purchase applies to all our products.
Customers who purchased an item online from Ethnotek can contact us with a repair request.

If the purchase was made in a store, proof must be provided, e.g., a receipt or sales slip.

If the item was a gift, the name of the original purchaser must be provided so the claim can be verified.

Warranty and guarantee claims with Ethnotek become void once the original purchaser resells the product, e.g., on an online marketplace for used goods.

These components differ in terms of material and production. Therefore, under the guarantee, a distinction is made between handcrafted and industrial components:

  • 1-year guarantee for all artisan components
  • 2-year guarantee for all industrially manufactured components
  • 30-year guarantee for the Raja Travel Backpack 46 Body, Raja Daypack 30 Body

In the event of a warranty claim, send photos of the defect and the purchase receipt/order ID in a short email to hello@ethnotek.eu.

We always try to repair the product first. If that’s not possible, you’ll receive a replacement. If the product is no longer available, you’ll receive a voucher for the purchase price.

Wear and tear is not a defect

Warranty claims only apply if a defect exists in the product that is not due to typical wear and tear.
Wear is the natural deterioration of an item through use and is generally not considered a defect.

Wear refers to damage that occurs naturally and unavoidably through normal usage or aging.

This wear can appear in various forms and effects, e.g. (adhesive wear), scratches, erosion, abrasive wear, abrasion, discoloration, fabric breakdown, damage or deformation.

Wear is damage that occurs over time.
Defects are design, material or manufacturing faults that impair the integrity or functionality of the product.

A good question to ask in the event of damage:
Did Ethnotek make a mistake in selecting materials or during manufacturing, or was the damage caused by another reason, such as normal wear or external force?

Excessive load, transporting sharp or pointed objects, campfires, and luggage belts are known dangers to your backpack or bag.

If a defect is recognized, Ethnotek has the right to make up to two attempts to rectify it, meaning repair and/or replacement.

If this is not possible or both attempts fail, the buyer has the right to withdraw from the contract or reduce the purchase price.
The reduction amount is negotiable and not legally defined.
